Second Draft is designed with privacy at its core. We understand the sensitive nature of the messages you're rewriting, and we're committed to protecting your data through a privacy-first approach.
No Accounts Required
Second Draft does not require you to create an account. All your message history and rewrites are stored locally on your device only. We have no access to your messages or rewrite history.
What We Collect
Message Processing: When you use Second Draft to rewrite a message, the text is sent to our AI service to generate the rewrite. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored on our servers.
Usage Analytics: We collect basic, anonymized usage data to improve the app, such as which rewrite styles are most popular and app performance metrics. This data cannot be linked back to you or your messages.
Voice Profile (Optional): If you choose to use the voice extraction feature, audio samples are processed to generate your personalized voice profile. These samples are processed and then deleted—only the resulting profile is stored locally on your device.
Local Storage
All your message history, rewrite history, and voice profile are stored exclusively on your device. If you delete the app, all this data is permanently removed. We have no backups and no way to recover it.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted AI service providers to generate message rewrites. These providers process your message content in real-time but do not store or train models on your personal data. All processing is done securely over encrypted connections.
In-App Purchases
Second Draft Pro is available through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment information is handled exclusively by Apple—we never see or store your payment details. Subscription management is done through your Apple ID settings.
Your Rights
Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control. You can delete your message history anytime within the app, or remove all data by uninstalling the app.
